You will submit a five minute video showing yourself conducting an interview as a social worker. You will also write a 1500 word critical reflection of your role in this scenario. Case scenarios are attached here. You will then need to view your own recording and write a 1500 word critical reflection, exploring the interview, commenting on skills used, showing a rationale for why you did what you did, and what you might have done differently with hindsight. The reflections should make appropriate links with theories and readings presented in the course, and show awareness of where you think your work can improve. Specific skills/themes that you will be assessed on will be advised during the semester. The role play will be watched by either of the workshop facilitators, who will examine the demonstrated skills of the worker and how these link with the critical self-reflection offered by each student
