The assignment consists of two short pieces of writing totalling 2000 words. It should be submitted as one document and clearly headed question 1 and question 2 with a page break between each one. The document should be word processed, double spaced and justified in arial, calibri (body) or times new roman in an 11 font. It should have your student number in the header and page numbers in the footer.

You should focus on why you deviate away from rational/normative approaches decision making. It should therefore be grounded in decision making theory.
Part 2: Through application of your learning on the module write a paper that outlines the strategy process.
This is a briefing paper to business. It should be grounded in theory and written in a style that is practitioner friendly (think Harvard Business Review or Business Strategy Review styles). Fundamentally the question is; what is strategy? By that I mean what are the different approaches? What are the limitations of different approaches and how should strategic planning be approached? It should draw on the wealth of academic debate around the subject matter but be written in a concise manner.
