Air Quality – Address all aspects of the question asked.
The UK Climate Change Act requires that emissions of greenhouse gases are reduced by at least 80% by 2050, compared to 1990 levels (Committee on Climate Change 2011).
Use examples from the academic literature and relevant policy documents and follow these instructions,
(1) Describe and explain selected policy options that might be important in achieving this target.
(2) Evaluate the likelihood of success of these options,
(3) Comment on the necessity of such an ambitious target.
Credit will be given to sensible use of policy documents and up-to-date literature/examples.
