It is important to consider previous artistic influences when studying later periods. Style and subject are often chosen as a rejection of the art of a previous era. At other times, a works subject and style emulates a previous eras art.
In your response, examine how the style and subject of how artworks from the Baroque and Rococo periods are a reaction to the art of past eras.

Description and Analysis of Three Artworks: As you journey into the tour aspect of the presentation, meaningfully discuss three works of art (two from the Baroque and one from the Rococo) reflecting your chosen theme. Include the art image and all following identifying information under the image in your presentation (if available): title, artist, date artwork was created, medium, and culture/period (approximately 150200 words per artwork).

Expand your visual analysis into the larger theme of your choice. Using the textbook, lecture reading, and any outside sources approved by your instructor in Assignment 1, address how the subject and style of each artwork reflect the historical and cultural context of the period. Think about the culture in which the work was created. What does the artworks visual characteristics tell us about cultural beliefs and meaning? Relate this to your theme.
4. Conclusions: Reiterate your theme and include meaningful insights and conclusions. Tell your audience what you hope they take away from your presentation.

5. Works Cited: Include a list of all sources you used in MLA format.
