Read the entire book. Focus on the first chapter, \”The Things They Carried\” and FIVE more chapters. Explain how the chapter you chose relates to the first chapter. Also, use FIVE outside resources to give the book context, i.e. a brief explanation of the history of the Vietnam War and/or the experiences of soldiers. It is important that your essay be one cohesive paper, integrating each of the articles with the book. Do not just list the articles. Your best bet would be to use the library website to find academic articles. Academic articles are those published by academic journals. The librarian, with whom you can chat online, can help you find appropriate sources. Use Chicago style citations with footnotes.
Also, make sure to cite correctly from the book when you relate any thing from the book.
