Available theoretical and empirical criminological/sociological scholarly research literature must be used to support your argument. You must consult Criminological and/or Sociological journals and books for scholarly writing relevant to your topic. You should first explain the overarching view (either positivist or constructionist) and then the specific theories you are going to use. You are to write in third person. Do not write in first person (I, me).
