In this unit, you are learning new teaching strategies that will help you meet the needs of all students.
Imagine that you are in your classroom; you can choose the grade and topic that you are interested in ( K-12 United States). Talk about any particular discussion and presentation strategies that you would use. Do you think some are better suited to some students but not useful for others? Think in terms of multiple intelligences ( Howard Gardner) as well as diversity among students this might include linguistically, culturally, academically, and economically diverse students.
Explain your answer using examples from the textbook and/or other sources. Review the Unit 1 ( Chapters 1 and 2) and Unit 2 ( chapters 3,4,5) Readings as references for this Discussion post.
Then include an article or book that you have found that explains your motivation or reasoning behind a certain teaching strategy or plan.
After sharing your article or book that you have found that explains your motivation and reasoning, discuss the importance of research throughout your career. Why is it important to keep up with the current research? How you will do this in your busy career?
